“Con Amore is a family business that specializes in custom cakes, pastries, and confections. Anything sweet your heart desires, baked with love.”

We are based out of Brooklyn. A mother-daughter team makes all cakes and pastries fresh to order. Both received their degrees right here in Brooklyn at City Tech. We use local produce fresh from the farmers' market whenever possible and keep high quality at the very top of our priorities.

Meet the Chefs

Chef Laurel

“Born in St Vincent and the Grenadines, Chef Laurel started her baking journey as a young girl watching her grandmother bake at the oven house. From there her love for the culinary arts grew while studying Home Economics at Girls’ High School. She later incorporated her nutrition education into her work at Teacher’s College all while making cakes for special occasions for friends and family. After successfully raising her three daughters, she decided to pursue her culinary career professionally in the early 2000s by obtaining a Hospitality Management degree from City Tech. Since then she has curated and refined a flavor profile like none other. Baking for the luckiest patrons in the world.”

Chef Lys

“Born right here in Brooklyn, Chef Lys followed in her mother’s footsteps and began baking at a young age. Using her technical and graphic design training from Brooklyn Tech in tandem with her pastry training from City Tech, Chef Lys is the artistic director at Con Amore. As they always say, “Chef Laurel makes it taste good and Chef Lys makes it look good”.”
